Promoting Truth & Reconciliation
in Land Use Planning

Our Vision

Shared Path works towards a future in which Indigenous voices, obligations, and rights form a sustained and integral part of how we share land and water, particularly with respect to land-use planning law, policy, and governance in Ontario.

Shared Path Consultation Initiative (Shared Path) is a charitable organization that is addressing the challenges and opportunities that emerge where land use change and Aboriginal and Treaty Rights intersect.

Join Shared Path

Shared Path has a broad membership base drawn from a community of practice that bridges academia, community leaders, government, practitioners, and professionals.

We bring together Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders in consultation, environmental research, archaeology, law, planning and other fields. Our focus is the best practices and common challenges concerning traditional territories and treaty areas, land use and governance. We are committed to deepening the reconciliation dialogue and sharing knowledge.
